Barbour records for Litchfield show Ebenezer b. 7 Oct 1740 to parents Ebenezer and Deborah. So which is correct: the birthdate or the parents? Litchfield records show Ebenezer Jr m. 1763 Lucy Phelps. Eleazer and Sarah have two children in Dudley, MA but no Ebenezer and no more found. Thought to have moved to Rhode Island. There is an Ebenezer Marsh, son of George, bapt. in Sutton in 1737. Why isn't it him? The will of George Marsh of Sutton names his son Ebenezer as executor, the will be proved in 1783. The mother's name was Mercy and Ebenezer named a daughter that. Ebenezer's son Ezekiel names a son George. Far more promising avenue for investigation.
