Ebenezer King, s/o Samuel King and Elizabeth Marsh, b. Salem about 1700, bought land in Rutland 1754, d. 1786 [see following comment], m. Mary ---.
[Note: The Ebenezer who died in 1786 is the son Ebenezer, who appears to have neither children nor widow, so the probate mentions Joseph and William as brothers, not children. The father deeded some of his land and the right to the rest was quitclaimed to ther other children in the period 1770-1774 (below). The quitclaims appear to indicate Ebenezer was alive at that point. The deeds Crane's knowledge of the children is incomplete: he misses Ebenezer of course, daughter Bethiah, son Daniel deceased, and his daughter Mary m. Daniel Parling, while Hannah wife of Thomas Stimpson is not Ebenezer's daughter, but a grandaugther, Hannah Parling.]
