In addition, it is unlikely any person born in 1765 would marry at age 16 in 1781, so even if found, it would likely be a mistaken identification of the husband of Mary Hyde. It appears to be an erroneous representation of Ebenezer Brown, the son of Thomas Brown and Martha (Sherman) Oldham, who was born exactly 100 years before the date given here, 15 Jun 1665, per Cambridge VRs. That Ebenezer married a woman named Mary, but died in Newton in 1740, about 2 decades before Mary Hide was even born. See Mary's page for further discussion of who her husband wasn't. There is a 1757 baptism of Ebenezer Brown, s/o Ebenezer Brown of Cambridge Village, listed in Watertown Records, who would be a more appropriate age, though he hasn't been investigated.
