Widmer, age 90, formerly of Krotzer Avenue, Luckey, OH, most recently of Otterbein-Portage Valley Retirement Village, Pemberville, OH passed away Saturday, January 20, 2001, at Wood CO Hospital, Bowling Green, OH. Earl was born on July 21, 1910, in Clay Center, OH to Harvey and Nellie (Albright) Widmer. He married Helen Goetz on March 21, 1936, in Gibsonburg, OH, she preceded him in death on February 2, 1982. Earl was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Luckey, OH, and was a former member of the Luckey Kiwanis Club and the Grange. Survivors include daughter, Mary Lou (John) Steed of Whiting, NJ; son, John Widmer of Toledo; grandson, James Steed and partner, Cathy Hou of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Wendell Widmer of Fremont, and sister, Clarabelle Garn of Gibsonburg. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 23, 2001, at 11 a.m. from Zion United Methodist Church, Luckey, OH where additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until services. Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2001, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Marsh Funeral Home, Luckey, OH. Rev. Joy French will officiate. Interment will be in Bradner Cemetery, Bradner, OH. Memorials may be given to Zion United Methodist Church or Otterbein-Portage Valley Retirement Village
