Earl R. Hineman Served in the Navy during World War II Earl R. “Ray” Hineman, 75, of Jennifer Drive, Merrimack, died Sept. 30, 2002, at Rose Haven in Merrimack. Mr. Hineman was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Tomah, Wis., son of the late Glen and Florence (Mackey) Hineman. He had been a resident of Merrimack for several years and previously resided in Amherst for 36 years. He was the widower of Phyllis T. (Popinski) Hineman, who died in 1994. Mr. Hineman had been employed as a field engineer for Sanders Associates for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Nashua and the Fleet Reserve Association. In addition, he enjoyed gardening and reading. Mr. Hineman was a World War II veteran and served in the Navy for 22 years, retiring as a chief petty officer. Survivors include a son, Alan Hineman of Amherst; four daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Keith Bakaian and Mona and Dennis Lepine, all of Litchfield, Carol and Gerald Robbins of Wendell, N.C., and Kathleen and Bill Jordan of Amherst; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Oct. 4 in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, in Milford. Burial followed in St. Patrick Cemetery, Amherst. Donations may be made to Home, Health & Hospice Care, 22 Prospect St., Nashua, NH 03060. The Smith & Heald Funeral Home in Milford is in charge of arrangements. References
