Lewiston- Earl F. Bailey Jr., 79, of Lewiston, died Thursday, October 06, 2005 at D?Youville Pavilion in Lewiston. Earl was born September 12, 1926 in the town of Casco, Maine the son of Earl F. Sr. and Helen (Worthley) Bailey. Earl served his country proudly from 1943 to 1950. Earl was married for 50 years to his beloved wife Joyce A. (Goodwin) Bailey whom he married in 1952. Earl was a 20 year member of the American Legion, and a 22 year member of the Eagles in Lewiston. Earl loved to go for rides in the middle of the night for doughnuts and coffee with his beloved dog Cuddles. Earl drove Tractor Trailer for over 30 years and for many years drove for Sun Cab. Earl is survived by his children; daughters Gladys Bailey Richards and her husband Donald of Litchfield, Joanne Bailey Dupuis and her husband Levite of Auburn, Katherine Bailey George of Lewiston, Sandra Greaton of Auburn, Barbara Wenzell of Westbrook, and Judy Perkins of Auburn; sons Stephen Grande and wife Barbara of CA, James Brunelle and his wife Judy of MA, Richard Bailey and his wife Toni of Buckfield, and Warren Smith and his wife Bonnie of Greene; brothers Charlie of Mechanic Falls, Richard of TX, and Paul of Bancroff, sisters Doris Whitaker and Hazel Moore both of Lewiston, and also 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Earl was predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife in 2003, sons Earl III ?Butch? in 1990, and Danny in 1951; stepdaughter Bonnie Goodwin in 1984, step grandson Craig1984 and his sister Patricia in 2003. Family and friends are invited attend a memorial service for Earl at 2pm on Saturday, October 22, at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 980 Turner St., Auburn, ME 04210. Burial will take place at the New Maine Veterans? Cemetery Mt. Vernon Rd. Augusta on Monday, October 24th at 1pm with military honors.
