E.D. Tullis Published in The Lufkin Daily News on 3/9/2006. Graveside services for E.D. Tullis, 57, of Lufkin, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2006, in the Rockland Cemetery in Houston County, with Reverend Ross Black officiating. Mr. Tullis was born March 25, 1948, in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Rosie Lee (Herring) and E.D. Tullis. He died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, in a local hospital. Mr. Tullis was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was employed as a salesman, and had resided in Lufkin for most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Lena Tullis of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and T.J. Tullos of Lufkin, Debra and B.L. Carver of Lufkin and Karen and Greg Kennemer of San Augustine; daughters, Jessica Whitmore and Pamela Whitmore, both of Lufkin; son, Richard Whitmore of Lufkin; sister, Mattie Mize of Lufkin; brother, Bill Tullis of Lindale; 7 grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Reeves, Donnie Reeves, Will Tullis, Jim Nerren, Jerry Brown and Thomas Dodds. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Bertrand, Billy McInnis, Terry Smith, Ronnie Finn, Donnie Rogers and Thomas Harris. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Family Funeral Care. Family Funeral Care of Lufkin, directors. |
