Obituary[7] 22 Jun 1985 FARMINGTON -- Durward L. Hinckley, 68, died Thursday night at Franklin Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
He was born Dec. 30, 1916, at Avon, the son of Reginald and Gertrude Barden Hinckley. He was educated in Phillips schools and was employed at Forster's Mfg. Co., Strong, McLain's Mill in Brackley and later for the Smith Mill in New Vineyard. Mr. Hinckley also was self-employed as a part-time mason. He had made his home with Eleanor Hinkley in Strong since 1969, moving there from Avon.
Surviving are two daughters, Lorraine A. Wallace of Madrid and Diana L. Savage of Strong; three sons, Durward R. of Avon, Darold M. of Avon and Richard S. of Strong; two sisters, Beatrice Schauer of Santa Rosa, Calif. and Maxine Plog of Avon; and eight grandchildren.
