Obituary[1] 29 Sep 2008 AVON --- Although Mickey was best known for his life-long resemblance to Willie Nelson, there was so very much more to the man. Mickey Hinckley (Durward R. Hinckley), died unexpectedly at his home on the Back River Road, Avon, Thursday, Sept. 25.
He was born on June 5, 1940, in Avon, to Durward L. and Ruth (Grover) Hinckley. He attended school in Phillips, graduating from Phillips High School in June of 1958.
Mickey was employed at Forster Manufacturing's Strong plant for 44 years, until that mill closed down in May of 2003. In 1985, he met Judee Nile and they enjoyed the past 23 years together with the son they shared, Aaron. The past five years were especially brightened by Aaron and Alysia's son, Andre, who was his "best playmate."
He is survived by his soul mate, Judee Nile, of Avon; their son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Alysia Nile of Farmington; his brother Darold Hinckley and his wife, Marie, of Avon; sisters, Lorraine Wallace of Strong and Diana Savage of New Portland; grandson Andre Nile of Farmington; nieces Veronica, Mieketta, Christina, Erica and Kasey; nephews Basil, Carl, Mark, Richard (Junior), and Nathan; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by his folks; a brother, Richard Hinckley; and an infant sister, Peggy Ann Hinckley.
