  2.   Obituary.

    PAMPA — Dorothy Buzzard Zachry, 85, of Pampa died Monday, July 16, 2012, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012 in Fairview Cemetery with John Curry officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Zachry was born Dec. 8, 1926, in Spearman to Denzil and Ruth Fulbright Bradford and moved to Pampa in 1936. She was a 1945 graduate of Pampa High School and attended the University of Oklahoma. She married Ross N. Buzzard on June 3, 1946, in Madison, Wis. He preceded her in death in 1983. She later married Dr. Jack Zachry on Sept. 25, 1995, in Panhandle. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2001. Dorothy worked briefly for Security Federal Savings and Loan prior to her marriage. She lived in Norman, Okla., for about four years before returning to Pampa in 1950. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for first-graders for many years. She was a member of Twentieth Century Study Club and Greenpeace. Survivors include a daughter, Andrea R. Buzzard of Santa Fe, N.M.; a son, Mark N. Buzzard and wife Vanessa of Pampa; a sister, Rosalie Bossay of Dallas; a stepdaughter, Dianne Meaker of Panhandle; three grandchildren, Matt Buzzard of Marathon, Fla., Beth DeStephens and husband Jimmy of Boston, and Ross Buzzard of Beaumont; eight nieces; and three nephews.
