Dorthaula Hall Stanley Spangler, 89, of Bevinsville, widow of Robert Stanley and George Spangler, died Tuesday, May 24, 2012, at her residence. Born July 3, 1922, in Floyd County, to the late Dave and Pricie Harris Hall, she was a homemaker and a member of the Left Beaver Regular Baptist Church, in Martin. She is survived by one son, Robert D. (Vickie) Stanley, of Bevinsville; one daughter, Janet (Daniel) Crawford, of Hi Hat; two sisters, Carolyn Johnson, of Bevinsville, and Osalene Triplett, of Wheelwright; 14 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Stanley; three sisters [sic - ?should be daughters?], Loretta Lucas, Eulaveen Conley and Cora Lou Stanley; three brothers, Marion Hall, Harless Hall and Virgil Hall; and four sisters, Phyllis Jewel Johnson, Edna Hall, Nella Faye Hensley and Inez Hall. Funeral services for Dorthaula Hall Stanley Spangler were held Sunday, May 27, at Left Beaver Regular Baptist Church, in Martin, with Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial followed at the Buckingham Cemetery, at Bevinsville. Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, of Martin, was in charge of arrangements.
