I did not find Dorothy Smith's death certificate using Family Search Ohio Deaths 1908-1953. Then I tried the Ohio History Connection death index. She is listed as Dortha M. Smith there. Using Dortha M. Smith I found the death certificate on Family Search. Dortha M. Smith is the daughter of Arthur Simmons and Hattie Blake, wife of Clarence Smith. In the phrasing of that era she is listed as "colored", born in Omega, Ohio. Conclusion: wrong woman.
