A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel in Montpelier, for Dorothy Ruth Runyon, 82, of Marion, who died at 5:17 p.m. Monday at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Calling hours at the funeral home are today for two hours prior to the service. Pastor Bill Smith will officiate and a private burial will follow.

Mrs. Runyon was born Aug. 28, 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Richard and Cora Mitermiler Van Rensselaer. She was a graduate of Cleveland High School.

She retired in 1979 from Picker X-Ray in Cleveland and moved to Marion. She was a member of the Moose Lodge at Hartford City.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Mrs. Greg (Valarie) Adams of Montpelier; a grandson, Kenny Brock of Montpelier; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Gayle L. Williams, and a grandson are deceased.
