    In 1949, Dorothy gave birth to her only child, James Duff Bigger, Jr.
    Dorothy enjoyed memberships in the Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Dallas Junior League, the Junior League Garden Club, the Dallas Country Club, and the Old Crows. She was an active supporter of the Scottish Rite Hospital, Highland Park Historical Society, Dallas Museum of Art, Lighthouse for the Blind, and the United Way.
