    Dorothy E. James,77, a resident of 223 E. First St., Oswego, died October 27,

2001, at her home.

    Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Marguerite

(Perkins)Nihoff. She attended Percy M. Hughes School in Syracuse.

    Mrs. James had been employed with Coe Laundry in Oswego for several years.
    She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post #5885

and the American Legion Auxiliary #268.

    Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Linda James, with whom she resided; two

granddaughters, Tonya Bennett of Grandby and Katrina Enwright of Oswego; a great-granddaughter, Brittany Bennett; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Nadine) Clark and Mrs. Sidney(Louise) Dashnau, both of Oswego; a brother, Kenneth Nihoff of Hannibal; and several nieces and nephews.

    She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; her son, Michael; and brothers

Michael and Frederick Nihoff.

    Services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from Dowdle Funeral Home and

at 9 a.m. from St. Mary's Church.

    Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
    Calling hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home,

154 E. Fourth St., Oswego.
