    Funeral services for Dorothy Merveldt Mason will be held in El Reno, date pending.
    Mrs. Mason died July 19, 2009. She was born July 16, 1920, in El Reno. She attended school in El Reno and graduated from El Reno High School in 1937. She attended Williams Wood University in Jefferson, Mo., from 1937-1939. She married Charles "Paul" Mason on Dec. 28, 1939. She was married to Paul for 65 years until his death in 2004. She was a member of First Christian Church of El Reno and a member of P.E.O.

    Dorothy is survived by her brother, LeRoy Merveldt; nephews, Kent Merveldt and Paul Merveldt, and a niece, Lea Merveldt Tranakos; great-nieces and nephews, Tera Merveldt, Jason Merveldt, Farley Tranakos, Nicholas Tranakos and Paul Merveldt.
