Dorothy J. Crumrine Oetzel Ingram, 81, Morton, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 18, 2009) at Rosewood Care Center, East Peoria.
She was born Jan. 4, 1928, in Livingston County, daughter of George and Esther Augsburger Crumrine. She married Lloyd Oetzel. He preceded her in death. She later married Harry "Dick" Ingram Sr. on Aug. 17, 1957, in Morton. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2007.
She also was preceded in death by one stepgrandson, Matthew Ingram; one sister, Ruth Crumrine Litwiller; one brother, George Crumrine Jr.; one brother-in-law; and one sister-in-law.
The Crumrine family moved to Morton in 1942, where Dorothy attended high school. She had been employed at several jobs, ending her work days at Morton Automatic Electric.
In their retirement, she and her husband spent summers in the Northwest until ill health prevented them from traveling.
She was a member of First Mennonite Church in Morton and was active with vacation Bible school for several years. She also was active with the Mennonite Women for a number of years, serving as president several times.
