Obituary

Knoxville Express, Knoxville, Iowa August 1918 Mrs. R.S. Connor died at her home in Des Moines Tuesday, August 26, aged 46 years and 11 days. Dollie Bishop, daughter of the late Calvin Bishop, was born at Lincoln Corners, west of Knoxville, July 15, 1872. She grew to womanhood on the farm and in Knoxville, and on December 28, 1898, she was united in marriage to Dr. R.S. Conner. After their marriage they went to Zanesville, Ohio, where they lived for a number of years, later moving back to Knoxville. For the past few years they liv ed in Des Moines. Besides one son, her husband and mother, Mrs. Melissa Hanna, the deceased leaves numerous other relatives. The funeral services were held in Des Moines at the home on Wednesday afternoon, August 28 at 4 o'clock. The remains were brought to Knoxville Thursday morning and interment was made at Graceland cemetery [BURIED IN LINCOLN CEMETERY]. Rev. J.F. Robertson conducted a short service at the grave.
