Bio: RANDOLPH - Doris Treva Welch, age 97 of Randolph, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019.
She was born January 17, 1922, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Bert and Ida (Calvin) Schweitzer. Doris grew up in Cuyahoga Falls and was a longtime member of Bethany United Church of Christ.
On October 17, 1942, she married Boyd “Randy” Welch. Together they raised eight children on the family farm in Randolph. She truly cherished being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her door was always open for family and friends.
Doris is survived by her children: Sandi Welch, Rod (Marie) Welch, Patrice Fox, Becky Jenior, Rick (Lisa) Welch, and Tod (Judy) Welch, as well as all of her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Boyd Randy Welch, her sons Randy and Roger Welch, and her sisters.
Friends and family will be received Monday, November 4, 2019, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Kim Mislin Cran at 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E Main St, Ravenna. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
