"INFANT DAUGHTER - Doris Ruth, the infant daughter of William D. and Carrie Hostetler, of Colo, was laid away in the cemetery nearby the country home of the Brethren Church Sunday at noon. Services were conducted by Rev. J. Elkenberry. A lesson from Matthew, Luke and I Corinthians was used. "A little bird came into the garden fair, The light of heaven was in it's face. A greater love grew into our hearts As we cherished hopes of the Bud which was sent by God. 'Twas not the reaper grim who came But an Angel fair, who entered there And took our darling away.” BURIAL: Iowa Historical Library, Des Moines, Iowa.
