    Doris M Freed, 87, Pleasant Lake, died Thursday at Shepherd of the Hillin Kendallville. She was born in July 2, 1906, in Salem Township toDavid and Mary Clink Freed. Ms. Freed was a retired clerical worker forthe U.S. government in Denver, Colorado and Washington, D.C.. She was agraduate of Pleasant Lake high school and a member of Pleasant LakeUnited Methodist Church. She is survived by one sister, Zoa Van Aukenof Pleasant Lake; Jack Van Auken of Pleasant Lake and Tom Van Auken ofSylvania, Ohio and one niece, Darlene Wodrich-Perham of Minnesota. Shewas preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth. Funeral services wereSunday at Johnson funeral home, Hudson, with the Rev. Tom Wattofficiating. Burial was in Mount Zion cemetery, Pleasant Lake."
