Doris M. (Eberts) Crumrine, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2016 in her home at Country Meadows at Leader Heights. She was the wife of Edward A. Crumrine. The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2015.
Mrs. Crumrine was born in Chapman Quarries, Northampton County on August 20, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Dora Sophia (Andrews) Eberts.
She retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the OB/GYN Department at York Hospital after 25 years of service having received her training from Preston Maternity Hospital in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Crumrine was an avid photographer who enjoyed reading and handcrafts. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in York.
Along with her husband, Ed, Mrs. Crumrine leaves a daughter, Sheri Beth Crumrine of Wahiawa, Hawaii. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kermit and Joseph Eberts; and a sister, Hilda Eberts.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 9 in the chapel of Country Meadows at Leader Heights, 2760 Pine Grove Rd in York, with Chaplain Leon Via officiating at the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
