    ... Miss Dorcas Hedges, born July 28, 1806, to James and Annie [sic, should be Amy] (Forman) Hedges, who were heirs in the famous "Hedges Estate". The Bantas and Hedges were among the early settlers in the "Region" and noted for their longevity. Mr. Banta is the father of eight children, all of whom grew to maturity. ... The parents are vigorous old people, highly esteemed citizens of the community in which they live, and with their family belong to the Christian Church.
