2012 - Obituary: Suddenly on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, Dora Sykes of Brownsville in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Donald for 55 years. Dear mother of Debra Sykes Warfel (Bill) and Randall (Elizabeth). Cherished grandmother of Jessica, Nolan and Austin. Dora worked for a number of years at the Tillsonburg Post Office and was a Commissioner of Girl Guides as well as being involved with Cubs and Boy Scouts. Dora was a volunteer in many aspects of the Brownsville Community, such as the Brownsville Public Library as well as the Brownsville Women’s Institute and the Brownsville United Church Women. Friends and relatives will be received at the Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 1 – 3 p.m. and on Monday, April 23, 2012 from 11-1 p.m. when service will be held in the chapel. Rev. Steve Amorin officiating. Interment later in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
