ODESSA Donna Kay Crumrine passed away on January 8, 2015 at her longtime home in Odessa, Texas. She was 78 years old. She was born to Frank and Marie Miller January 13, 1936 in Woodson County, Kansas. She had one younger brother she adored, Everet Miller. On September 27, 1953 she married Victor Lee Crumrine and they had five boys. They moved to Odessa, Texas, in 1962 where she lived the rest of her life. She was a housewife, a mom and also sold floor covering with Stewart Brothers for about ten years. She attended First Church of God for many years. She was a proud member of "The Iris Society" and very much enjoyed genealogy. Grandma Kay, as many people fondly referred to her, was always busy cooking, sewing, gardening and planting flowers, painting, working with clay or any other creative and wonderful things she could do with her hands. Her happiest times were being outside with her hands in the dirt. She created many beautiful things in her life. She loved horses whether she was riding or just hugging one. Anytime the opportunity would arise she would save a little bread or crackers to feed to the birds or chickens. Her very favorite thing was a house full of family and/or friends eating and playing games.
Kay was preceded in death by both her parents Frank and Marie Miller, her brother Everet A. Miller, her husband Victor Lee Crumrine, her oldest son Victor Lee Crumrine Jr., brother in law Elmer "Bud" Crumrine, sister in law Anita Markham and her husband Ray Markham as well as many beloved aunts and uncles.
She is survived by sisters in law, Thelma Crumrine of Yates Center, Kansas, and Jimmie Miller of Corpus Christi; four sons, Cory and wife Karen of Monahans, Rory and wife Judy of Crane, Barry and wife Lynn of Penwell, Troy and wife Sherree of Odessa; and daughter in law Sharon Crumrine of Odessa. Grandchildren are Aleasha, Samantha, Alaina Crumrine, Gabriel Salgado, Jacob Salgado and wife Lesley all of Odessa, Nicholas Crumrine of Austin, Doug Crumrine and wife Samantha, Laura Stiles and husband Andy of San Angelo, Colt Crumrine and Cori Crumrine of Midland, Jordan Crumrine and wife Kalie of Naples, Florida, Mason Crumrine of Penwell and Dionne Hernandez of Dallas. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren with one on the way, as well as many nieces, nephews and special cousins whom she loved very much.
