Dr. Donald D. Watson, 89, of Howell died Dec. 25 at Greenbriar Care Center, Howell.

He was born July 5, 1898, in Iowa, the son of Walter S. and Augusta (Aves) Watson. He married Mary Hazel Duprey; she preceded him in death Dec. 4, 1984.

Dr. Watson received his doctor of dentistry degree from the University of Michigan. A former resident of Redford Township, he was a dentist for 50 years, mostly in Dearborn and Redford Township.

He was a member of the Methodist Church, the American Dental association, the Detroit Dental association, the Emeritus Club of U-M, Clearwater Neighbors, Young at Heart and the Redford Union Board of Education.

He is survived by one son, Donald D. Watson of Howell; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were Dc. 28 at MacDonald's Funeral Home in Howell, with the Rev. Gary Damon officiating. Cremation has taken place.
