Edward and Eloise were members of Mt.Eden Baptist Church and later moved their membership to Hawesville Baptist Church.

Edward was a farmer in the Goering community for several years after serving in the US Navy during WWII for two years. He then worked for Government soil Conservation. He suffered from many physical problems and died on January 28, 1997 during heart surgery. He was buried in Serenity Hills Cemetery near Hawesville.
