Oswego Valley News, 22 Apr 1980: CANDID OPINION-- "Are you planning to take a vacation this summer?" [photo] Dennis Ware Fulton, Assembler, Black Clawson "We've just had a vacation. In fact, we got back last Saturday. We spent a week at Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Maybe we'll do a little weekend camping during the summer. We do have a high mileage car but because of the price of gas now and the estimated price for this summer, we won't be able to travel freely. We won't leave Oswego county. I'd like to think that the price of gas will eventually settle down at a price where people can again take vacations and enjoy themselves but the way the economy is now it's hard to look to the future with optomism. My dad has a pick-up truck with a camper. It's a nice recreational vehicle but he's going to give it up and sell it because of the gas situation. He's been a dedicated camper ever since I was old enough to know what camping was."
