Telegraph Herald (Dubuque, IA) - May 1, 2003 Deceased Name: Dennis W. Bandy Mr. Dennis W. Bandy, 54, of 950 Glen Oak St., died at 2 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at home after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Roselawn Chapel at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road, with the Rev. Andrew Eagan officiating. Private family entombment of the cremated remains will be in Linwood Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home.

Mr. Bandy worked in international sales for the former FDL Foods Inc., and later at Hormel Foods Inc. He left Hormel and he and his wife, Carol, founded the freight forwarding company known as Jaccmate.

He was born on Aug. 19, 1948, in Dubuque, son of Merle and Florence (Ley) Bandy. He married Carol A. Millard on Aug. 19, 1967, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Dubuque.

He grew up in Dubuque and graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1966. He then attended Iowa State University, Ames, and later the University of Dubuque.

He was an avid golf enthusiast and loved the Chicago Bears. The joy of his life centered around his family and many friends.

Surviving are his wife, Carol A. (Millard) Bandy; a son, Jonas (Julia) Bandy, of Dubuque; a daughter, Carrie (Daniel) Kelly, of Dubuque; four grandchildren, Anthony, Yvette, Alison and Reagan; two sisters, Sandy (Bruce) Martindale, of Beloit, Wis., and Debra (Thomas) Conley, of Webster City, Iowa; a brother, Fred (Maryanne) Bandy, of Charlotte, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
