Dennie Lee born to Teddy Leonard and Neva (Crumrine) Finley. He graduated from Brewster High School.
He married Sharon L. Meek on November 1, 1959, in Brewster, Kansas. They lived in Brewster until 1970, when they moved to Goodland, Kansas. He was a mechanic, shop foreman and car salesman.
He was a member of the Goodland Bible Church and Sugar Hills Golf Club.
Preceeding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Doyle, Don and Bill Finley; and two sisters, Grace Highland and Orcena Finley.
Survivors include his wife, of Goodland; three sons, Terry, wife Lori, Finley of Lees Summit, MO;Damon Finley, Knasas City, Kansas and Billy Joe Finley of Goodland; a daughter, Jeannie, husband Randy, Topliff of Goodland; two brothers, Jerry, wife Bonnie, Finley of Trenton, Nebraska and Darold, wife Audrey, Finley of Goodland; a sister, Dorothy, husband Cecil, Magnall of Filly, Nebraska; two sister-in-laws, Nyla "Smith" Finley (husband Bill)of Goodland and Clarice Elizabeth(Toots) "Taylor" Finley (husband Doyle) of Farr, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
