Mrs. Dena Naves Hyink, 84, died this morning at her home at 410 North Third. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Dokken-Nelson’s Sunset Chapel. Interment will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Manhattan.

Mrs. Hyink had been a resident of the Gallatin Valley for 64 years. She was born in Cedar Grove, Wis., March 1, 1872, and at an early age moved with her parents John and Willamina Naves to Newkirk, Iowa.

She was married to Boudwyn Hyink in Newkirk and they later moved to Manhattan. She had lived in the Bozeman area since that time with the exception of eight years spent in Michigan, where her husband died in 1929. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Minnie Eling, Nettie Hyink and Esther Hyink, Bozeman, Mrs. Lester (Ruth) Droppers, Ferrysburg, Mich; four sons, Lester Hyink of Yakima, Wash., Joseph W. Hyink of Berkeley, Mich., Henry J. Hyink of Bertrand, Mich., Robert B. Hyink of San Francisco; three sisters, Mrs. Jennie LeMunyon of Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Lena Davidson of Los Angeles, Mrs. Harry Wilson of Fontana, Calif.; three brothers, Arie TeSelle and John TeSelle of Bozeman, Ben TeSelle of Santa Rosa, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, among them Mrs. Walter (Eldy) Covich, Palmer, Alaska, whom Mrs. Hyink had reared from infancy and 1 great grandchildren.

Four sons preceded her in death.
