Delores Lepley 20050227 Delores Lepley CUMBERLAND - Delores "Mean Jean" Lepley, 71, of Oak Street, Cumberland, has gone to be with the Lord, after a short battle with cancer, on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at her home. Born Nov. 4, 1933, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Emma Mae Norris. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Paul Vincent Lepley. Jean was a member of the Cumberland Eagles 245 and loved playing bingo at the Eagles, Hot Stove and Elks Club. She loved her favorite restaurant Emma's and Hobo's. Delores will be missed by her beloved family and many friends. She is survived by a loving brother, William B. Norris Jr. and wife Frances; two daughters, Linda Spiker and husband Dave and Gloria Simpson and husband Steve; two sons, Paul William Lepley and Jerry Lepley and wife Karen; 7 grandchildren, Kim Spiker and husband Roger, Terri Martin and husband Jamie, Jason Lepley and fiancé Heather Beeman, Robert Simpson, Julie Lepley, Jeff Simpson and Jessica Iliff and husband Rodney; 11 great-grandchildren, "Chris Chris", Noah, Cheyenne, Kiowa, Dakota, Amanda, Destiny, Christian, Brandon, Alyssa and Ayden; several nieces and nephews; cousins; extended family and friends, whom she loved very much; and a best friend and neighbor, Jerry Ashenfelter Sr. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Sherrill Dillon officiating. Interment will be in St. Luke's Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Home Hospice for their wonderful care with Delores. |
