Obituary contributed by Helen Thompson Strange; publication unknown: Delona Wainscott, 82, of Decatur died Jan. 9 in a Decatur hospital. Service was Saturday at Coker Funeral Chapel in Decatur. The Rev. Charles Taylor officiated. Burial was in New Harp Cemetery. Pallbearers were Herbert and Harrell White, V. M. Claborn Jr. and O. D. Faith. Wainscott, born June 24, 1903 in Montague, married Bonnie White, Oct. 10, 1974 in Alvord. The retired farmer was a member of the Baptist church. Other survivors include sons Raymond McGaha of Decatur and Jack McGaha of Fort Worth, daughter, Lona B. Pittman of Sunset; step-daughter, Mary Wilson of Decatur; sisters Ethel Campbell of Grand Prairie and Rosie Moody of Cottonwood, Calif.; five grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
