    Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 4, 1979, at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele for Delmar G. "Buddy" Dodd, 52. Mr. Walter Lumpkin officiated.

    Mr. Dodd was born February 7, 1927, at Parsons, Tenn. and died April 2, 1979 at Veterans Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. His occupation was trucker, and he was also employed by Still Gin Company. He was a Veteran of World War II. The son of the late R. V. and Lena Taylor Dodd, Mr. Dodd had a daughter, Rhonda, who preceded him in death.

    He leaves his wife, Mrs. LaVerne Dodd of Steele; three sons, Robert Dodd of St. Charles, Mo., and Dale and Ben of the home; two brothers, Billy Dodd of Caruthersville and Ben Dodd of Armorel, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Laura Bruce of Memphis, Tenn.; four step-daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Lineberry of Lake Charles, La.; Mrs. Glenda Harris of Lexington, Ky., Mrs. Jamie Christian Heinen of Steele, and Mrs. Mary Bess Taylor of Steele.

    Pallbearers were Roy Barnes, Buck Ballentine, Hans Green, Bobby Joe Pounds, Kevin Still and Buddy Still.

    Honorary pallbearers were Boyd Buys, Ben Bailey, Therron Nowlin, Mitchell Fisher, Jerry Sinko, Lester Cecil, Herman Lucy and Will Holt.

    Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
