Kathryn "Kass" Schwager, 79, of Harrison ave., Souderton, formerly of Oak ave., Hatfield, was stricken at her residence on Friday, and taken to Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, where she died shortly after admittance.Mrs. Schwager was the widow of John H. Schwager, who died in April of 1975.Born in the Bucks County section of Telford, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Emma (Dorn) Swartz.A longtime resident of Hatfield, she moved to Souderton in 1985. Mrs. Schwager was a seamstress for most of her life, having worked with the former Regent Clothing Co. of Hatfield, the former Line Lexington Clothing Co., and the Hatfield Trousers Co., where she worked for nine years until her retirement in 1971.She was a member for more than 50 years of the Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, UCC, Telford RD.Mrs. Schwager was also a member of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union Local 119 of Allentown.She is survived by three sisters, Pearl D. Thomson, with whom she resided, Sally D. McIntyre of Souderton and Grace D. Weidemoyer of Telford; two brother, Ellwood D. Swartz of Souderton and John D. Swartz, of Hatfield, and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jonas D. Swartz, who died in 1981 and a sister, Della D. Swartz, who died in 1937.Services were held today. Arrangements were by the Sommers-Sadler Funeral Home, Telford.
