from a copy of his Obituary: He died suddenly, but had declining health. Decatur is still talked about through the county. He opened the first bank in Rutherford County and was a well known business man and an attorney/ Several books have been written about him.

Decatur Franklin Morrow was a Judge in Rutherford County. He helped to establish the first bank in Rutherford County. He also wrote a book titled THEN AND NOW, a historical romance, published in 1926. It is a discourse of events of the war period, 1860 - 1865. [1]
