747. To the memory | of | Mrs DEBORAH CROMBIE | Consort of | Cap't William Crombie | who died Jan'ry 3'd | 1800 in the 32 | year of her age. [Age 31, so born before Jan 1769, i.e., about 1768.]
Plymouth VRs, p. 277, show the intentions of Deborah Jackson and Kimball Crombie 13 Nov 1790, but this marriage appears to have never happened. This situation is confused by an earlier intentions and marriage of Kimball Crombie to "Deborah Davie" 10 Jan 1789 and 5 May 1789, but that appears to be a separate event, as his wife Deborah (Davie) Crombie d. 17 Nov 1789 (see Kingman's epitaphs, p. 63). So the 1790 intentions was probably going to be his 2nd marriage. Kimball Crombie died 23 Jul 1791, which very likely played a part in his never marrying Deborah Jackson. He was the brother of William Crombie.
