On 5 December 1796 Davis McGee, late of the State of Georgia, sold to Archibald Smith of Somerset County for £600 specie part of tract George’s Lott, being part of a tract that was granted to Marthelas Hobbs who, by his last will and testament, made the aforesaid land the property of Levin Hobbs "which lands is now the property of Milbe McGee late of the State of Georgia" and who has appointed Davis McGee as attorney to sell the property. This part beginning at the 9th line of said tract and runs until it intersects the road that leads from Salisbury to the swamps "which road is known by the name of Parkers Road" and containing 134 acres and tract Hobbs Advice beginning at a red oak on the south side of the road and containing 13 acres (Worc S:519)
