[edit] =====================================Syracuse Post-Standard, 15 Oct 2004: WOOLSON SR., DAVID R. David R. Woolson Sr., life resident of Orwell, died Wednesday, October 13, at his home. He was born on December 6, 1953, in Oswego, the son of Rex A. and Gladys Olin Woolson. He attended Sandy Creek Central School. He married Joanie Ashby on October 23, 1971. He worked for the Town of Orwell Hwy. Dept. from 1971-79, and Fulton Boiler Works from 1979-2004. He was an Orwell Town Councilman from 1998-2004, Orwell Volunteer Fireman from 1976 to present (honorary because of health issues). He coached Sandy Creek Little League for eight years. He was a member of Boiler Makers Union Local 175 in Oswego for 25 years. Surviving are his wife, Joan; two sons, David Jr. and his wife Julie, Joseph and his companion Marissa Burns; a daughter, Missy Woolson and granddaughter, Hannah "Podunk" Woolson; his mother Gladys Woolson; a brother, Steven and his companion Jill Soule, all of Orwell; his mother and father-in-law, John and Joan Ashby; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bub and Bonnie Ashby, Ed and Nancy Ashby, all of Orwell, Gary and Jean (Ashby) Gulliver of Palermo; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held.... Saturday, October 16, at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. References
