Facts and Events
David graduated from Yonkers high school, where he played basketball and baseball. He served as a sargeant technician in the US Army in WWII. He was sent to England in March 1944, and was in charge of athletics, recreation, and entertainment in the 182nd General Hospital near Derby. He was honourably discharged on Christmas, possibly in 1946. David's death announcement states that he moved from Tuckahoe, New York to Winter Haven, Florida in October of 1947. He died in a car accident, when he skidded off the road into a water-filled ditch. Until his death, he was a payroll auditor for the Fireman's Fund Indemnity Co. of New York. |
