says, "It is not known when or where he d.", even though the wife's second marriage is mentioned. The marriage record for that 2nd marriage names the wife as "Hastings, Betcy, alias Mrs. Betcy Randall". Her use of her maiden name hints that the first marriage might have ended in divorce?
