He was a retired carpenter.Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at 2p.m., at Macedonia Cemetary. Family will recieve friends from 12p.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, at Beggs Funeral Home.A native of Madison, Ragans was the son of the late Cecil EdwardRagans and Katie Lee (Albritton) Ragans. He had lived in StPetersburg for 30 years before returning to Madison. He was aBaptist.He is survived by one son, David ?Ray? Ragans, Jr., of StPetersburg; one daughter, Tonia Koop, of Ellijay, Georgia; threebrothers, W.C. Ragans, Sputter Ragans, and Ronnie Ragans, all ofMadison; five sisters, Yvonne Barrs, of Pinellas Park, DianeWells, of Tallahassee, Helen Phillips, Patricia Bass, andBarbara Johnson, all of Madison; six grandchildren, and sixgreat-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
