  • 17 Feb 1735 - brothers David and Francis Mongin received a land grant from King George II and the governor of the Province of South Carolina for 650 acres in Purrysburg township, Granville county, South Carolina
  • 1726 - married Persille Dair and had 6 children, but only 2 survived
  • Aug 1747 - following the death of David's wife Persille, brothers David and Francis, along with David's two remaining children, departed Liverpool to sail to the new world
