Henry County Local---December 15, 1983

Newt McClellan, 79, of Turners Station, died Monday, December 12, 1983 at his residence, after an illness. He was a retired engineer from the L. & N. Railroad for forty-four years, a member of the Campbellsburg Methodist Church, and a member of the Fortitude Lodge # 47 of LaGrange.

He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Goldie Berry McClellan, Turners Station; one daughter: Mrs. Paul (Wilma) Bickers, Port Royal; four sisters: Mrs. Georgia Littell, Cincinnati, Mrs. Lucy Mae Simpson, Bedford, Mrs. Ellis (Sally) Wilson, Turners Station and Mrs. George (Beatrice) Waflart, Louisville; one brother: J. C. McClellan, Milton; and two grandchildren: Diane Bickers, Lexington and Mrs. Mike (Becky) Bray, Owensboro.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 14th from Prewitt's, New Castle. Rev. Allen Brewer, pastor of the Turners Station Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in the Port Royal Cemetery.
