Son of Vincent and Sarah (Benson) Luttrell.
David died just South of San Antonio, Texas and buried at a now unknown location between two (2) rivers. His grave was last located by a grandson in 1910.
This marker has been placed in Rowe Cemetery to honor David's memory. The stone is next to his wife, Eliza Jane Blackwell Luttrell and near several of their children.
Served with Company A of the 41st. Tennessee Infantry (CSA) during the Civil War. He was captured at Fort Donalson, Tennessee on February 16, 1862. David was held prisoner for the next few months at Camp Morton, Indiana.
