Dear Sir:

I have been searching for David Kerr stated to be father of James Kerr. David is said to have served in Revolution. James was born in 1774, but have no record of birth place, name of mother, or any siblings. James married Sarah Bird. Have fairly good lineage of his family. My great grandfather, David Kerr was born near Charlotte, NC. The Kerr family went to Tennessee in early 1800s, then to Mississippi. Grandfather David went into Texas later. I have information about a David Kerr in Rowan county, with one son James and several sisters. My gggrandfather James died in Mississippi--gravesite unknown. Any clarification is welcome. I've tried to find the connection with any David Kerr that was a patriot., but have not found the information that would ascertain ancestry.

Sincerely. Aileen Kerr Osborn
