OBITUARY FROM BURLINGTON TIMES-NEWS: David Gladstone Isley GRAHAM — Mr. David Gladstone Isley, 65, of 130 W. Crescent Drive, formerly of Friendship-Rock Creek Road, Burlington, died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Alamance County, he was born Dec. 25, 1936, to William Gladstone and Mary Bess Nicholson Isley, both deceased. He was the husband for 39 years of Barbara McAdams Isley.

He was a retired farm equipment salesman with Peele Tractor, Graham Tractor, and Job P.Wyatt & Son’s Co., a former Boy Scout Troop Leader and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he was a former Sunday School superintendent, former president of the Lutheran Men in Mission and a former member of the church council and choir.

Survivors other than his wife of the home include a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Michelle Isley of Burlington; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Lonnie Nicholson of Snow Camp; two grandchildren, Lonnie Nicholson, Jr.. and Jackie Nicholson; two brothers, George Isley and William Isley, both of Burlington.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. Bill Hoss, pastor. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. At other times the family will be at the home of Lonnie and Mary Nicholson, 1404 W. Greensboro-Chapel Hill Road, Snow Camp.
