Indianapolis Times, Thursday, June 27, 1940, page 19: David Fishberg, a retired Indianapolis grocer, died at St. Vincent’s Hospital after a 10-month illness. He was 69. Born in Russia, Mr. Fishberg came to the United States 50 years ago. He lived in Trenton, N. J, before coming to this city 40 years ago. He was an East Side grocer for 30 years. He was a member of Odd Fellows, the Zion Lodge and Beth-El-Zedeck Temple. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Louis Weissman and Mrs. William Epstein of Indianapolis and Mrs. Jack Paskind of Chicago; three sons, Charles of Dayton, O.; Jack of Cincinnati, O., and Barney Fishberg of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. tomorrow in the Aaron-Ruben Funeral Home. Burial will be in- Knesses-Israel Cemetery.
