There is a sketch of David Davison in the History of Mercer County, Illinois, 1882. David was born in 1833 in Pennsylvania, son of Moses and Elizabeth Davison. Moses and Elizabeth died in Wells County, Pennsylvania. Son David came to Mercer County in 1859 and located in New Boston Township, where he remained two years, then moved to Keithsburg two years and finally to Millersburg township. This sketch tells us that Evaline Wolfe was born in 1842 and that her parents came to Mercer in 1846. The children of David and Evaline Wolfe Davison were: Ida (dec. by 1882), May (b. abt. 1862, Cora (abt. 1863), Ralph (abt.1865), Walter (abt. 1866), Edward (died bef 1880), Albert (b. abt. 1870), Clarence (abt. 1872), Morgan (abt. 1874), Grace (abt 1876), Rose (abt. 1868), and Maud (after 1880). Mr. Davison served three years in Company G, 124th Ill Vol. Inf. in the Civil War. |
