- ↑ Left Virginia in March of 1780 settling in what was to be called Cox's Station, five miles northeast of present-day Bardstown, Kentucky. Moved with his father, Isaac, and several of his brothers' families. On the way they were attacked by Indians and David's brother, Joseph, was killed.
